Cherokee Energy Management is a leading provider of Facilities and Marine Energy Engineering. Our unique methods of teaching and training while we work have earned us the reputation of being Team Builders not just another contractor.  Seaport-e Contract N00178-15-D-8130. We are a service disabled veteran owned small business, with impressive Energy skill sets that set up apart as problem solvers and innovative Energy Engineers.  Energy Management is our core business.

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) established its Seaport-e program in 2001 with the expressed goal of providing a “faster, better, and cheaper means in which to procure Professional Support Services (PSS).” Today, the web-based program procures more than a half billion dollars of PSS annually for its headquarters’ Directorates, Program Executive Offices (PEOs), and field activities.  As a new contract holder Cherokee Energy is excited to add Seaport-e as another contract vehicle.

Cherokee Energy and our Seaport-e partner iNetwork have the capability to perform in thirteen of the Seaport-e Functional Areas 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.5, 3.6,3.7, 3.11, 3.12. 3.15, 3.18, 3.20, 3.21 and 3.22 in zones 3 and 6.

PAST PERFORMANCE:

Cherokee Energy has proven to be a “change agent” in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency and conservation, recycling, sustainability, awareness, and training. Over the past eight (8) years, Cherokee Energy has successfully executed eight (8) contracts valued at over $2.5 million. We have been the Prime contractor on all but one of these contracts, effectively managing customer, client and subcontractor relationships. These clients have included U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command, U.S. Fleet Forces Atlantic, US Coast Guard, US Dept. Agriculture U.S. Navy as well as state and local municipalities, high performance commercial buildings, colleges and universities including the University of Pennsylvania, health systems (including the Veterans Administration), and AGL Resources, the largest gas only utility in the U.S.

Quality Control

Our Quality Control procedures are incorporated as part of our Project Management planning process in order to meet or exceed contract and task order performance objectives. Cherokee has created a general Task Management system that the PM will work into the Project Management plan for each site location. Task Order Manager’s will be required to provide updates on task activities as part of our internal time reporting system which the PM will review on a weekly basis. The task management items will be used to generate the Monthly Progress Reports supplied to our SeaPort customers and to ensure metric items objectives are achieved.
