Our Energy Management Support Team can assume responsibility for all aspects of your energy management program, including:

  • Hiring energy managers to support multiple sites across states and time zones.
  • Creating individualized training programs for new hires to identify and fill gaps in their knowledge base.
  • Conducting training programs that seamlessly weave new learning with each employee’s existing job responsibilities.

  • Current:  Sub Contractor NAVFAC Atlantic, Black & Veatch Engineering • NAVFAC Atlantic Energy Master Planning, US Navy Worldwide, (Contract # N62470-13-R-6002)
  • Prime contract holder Resource Efficiency Management (REM) services NAVFAC MIDLANT and US Fleet Forces, East Coast. (Contract # N4008511D9802)  Eleven Energy Managers working on 15 installations responsible for $250M utility budget and financed projects projects (UESC & ESPC).  We implemented eleven (11) Energy Conservation Investment Program (ECIP) projects with a value of over $9M and provided a 200% return on investment to the Navy for the cost of our services.   FEMP Presidential Award Winner for Renewable Energy project Naval Air Station Oceana (2009).
  • U.S. Navy Energy Awareness Manager NAVFAC MidAtlantic Region
    Cherokee Energy Management was recognized by Retiring Admiral Alexander with the gift of a “Command Coin” for providing outstanding service in the field of energy awareness supporting U.S. Navy Mid Atlantic Region. Tasks include regional “Energy Awareness Month” campaigns, developing a training program for energy monitors in buildings, coordinating with the public affairs officer to promote culture change within the organization toward energy efficiency and website design.

Cherokee Energy staff can perform energy audits or manage contractors already in place. Our audit and data logging/energy baseline experience includes work in the following settings:

Example of applicable experience:

  • Level I and II Energy Audits, completed January 2011, Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Field Sector Office Eastern Shore. Cherokee Energy audit team provided utility bill analysis, energy efficiency inventories and HVAC studies including recommendations and retro-commissioning for the Chincoteague and Ocean City Coast Guard stations.

 


Energy Planning Strategies, Training and Awareness Programs

Example of applicable experience:

  • Facilities and Real Estate Services Division, University of Pennsylvania, Energy and Recycling Awareness Programs. Cherokee Energy Management provided energy conservation and recycling awareness training for the Facilities and Real Estate Services Division (FRES) at the University of Pennsylvania. Scope of work included developing and providing energy and recycling awareness training for the facilities and maintenance staff, specifically relating to communicating energy and recycling awareness to three different groups of people at the university.
